eMaint CMMS Features
Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software allows teams to improve maintenance workflows and performance. By reducing maintenance costs, leadership can track and manage efforts and attend to maintenance backlogs. But many businesses that implement a CMMS only take advantage of the most common features. There is a goldmine of underused CMMS features within eMaint.
Here are just a few:
QR codes: eMaint allows for the use of QR codes to initiate work requests. Users simply scan a 2D QR code and are taken directly to a blank work request for that asset — no signing in is required. QR codes can also be used to access specific asset data, such as the work order history, related parts, and more.
Labels: With eMaint, it’s possible to print barcode labels for any entity in the system. This CMMS feature is most commonly used for parts, assets, and contacts. With eMaint X5, you can customize the label.
Barcodes: A barcode scanner can be used anywhere within eMaint that allows users to find a part number. These locations include, but are not limited to:
• List Views
• Work Order Charges
• Lookups
Users can also check out multiple items using a barcode scanner more easily than by manually inputting data. And, when issuing inventory to a work order, barcode scanners can be used to speed up the part charge process. Barcoding in mobile works much the same as it does on the desktop version of eMaint.
Interactive plans: With interactive plans, users can identify the locations of assets and parts on a map or floor plan. Users can use identifying pins that, when clicked, pop up with information on that asset, work order, work request, or inventory record.
Get the most out of your eMaint subscription by leveraging these CMMS features. Make more informed decisions and improve your workflows by using the software to its fullest potential. Using these features not only streamlines maintenance efforts but also cuts down on wasted resources — transitioning maintenance from a budget drag into a business value add.
